Make Me Laugh😂
A couple arrived at a restaurant.
The hostess asked, “Do you have a reservation?”
The husband replied, “Yes, for seven o'clock.”
“Under what name?”
He looked at his wife.
She looked at him.
Finally, he said, “Try both. We weren't speaking when she booked it.”

📝 Prince William Community Survey Opens to Everyone Today
Monday, October 12, 2026
Here's your chance to help shape the future of Prince William County.
The county's 2026 Community Survey officially enters its open-participation phase today, allowing residents who weren't selected for the original survey to share their opinions.
The survey began September 14 with 9,000 randomly selected households. Today's second phase expands participation to the entire community.
County leaders use survey results to identify priorities, evaluate public services, and guide future planning.
Topics include residents' experiences with county services, community conditions, and quality of life. The survey remains open through November 2.
Why It Matters Here: Whether your concerns involve transportation, development, neighborhood conditions, or county services, this is an opportunity to tell local leaders what matters most to you.
The county says the public survey link will be posted on its official survey page when open participation begins. More —>
🏆 Prince William Parks Earns National Reaccreditation
Prince William County Parks & Recreation has earned national reaccreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies.
The department first received accreditation in 2020.
To qualify again, the department had to demonstrate compliance with 154 recognized standards covering operations, facilities, safety, programs, and services.
The accreditation process includes a formal application, self-assessment, independent review, and evaluation by a national commission.
Acting Parks Director Janet Bartnik said the recognition reflects the department's work serving the community while encouraging continued improvement.
Why It Matters Here: From the Dale City Recreation Center to Veterans Memorial Park and Locust Shade Park, residents depend on county recreation facilities for exercise, outdoor activities, and family programs.
National reaccreditation provides an independent measure of the department's management and service standards. More —>

🌳Fallen Trees Cause Power Outage in Manassas
Sunday's unsettled weather caused problems for some residents in Manassas.
According to reporting published Sunday afternoon, fallen trees brought down electrical lines and interrupted power. Manassas Public Works was responding to the outage.
Police and fire crews also checked the 9200 block of China Grove Court and reported no immediate safety concerns at that location. The report did not establish a confirmed restoration time.
Why It Matters Here: Storm-related outages are a reminder that falling trees and damaged electrical lines can create hazards even after the heaviest rain has passed.
Residents should never approach a fallen electrical line or assume it is safe because it isn't sparking. Potomac Local —>

Northern Virginia business leaders wary of economy, upbeat on data centers
Northern Virginia business leaders are losing confidence in the broader economy, even as many see an upside to the region’s data center boom. In a third-quarter survey of 169 executives and business owners, 47% were pessimistic about the national economy, while just 36% expected regional growth over the next six months.
Still, two-thirds were optimistic about their own companies, and 53% said data centers benefit the local economy. The survey asked about economic impact, not concerns such as energy use or environmental effects.
